To Reach BCS Championship Game:

  • Alabama +140
  • Ohio State +190
  • Boise State +275
  • Texas +450
  • Oklahoma +225
  • Nebraska +450
  • Florida +300
  • Penn State +800
  • Iowa +650
  • TCU +650
  • LSU +800

Don’t count out the Oklahoma Sooners or the Texas Longhorns, two teams that will battle for Big 12 supremacy and a spot in the national championship game.

Oklahoma will try out sophomore quarterback Landry Jones after its all-star Sam Bradford was drafted in the NFL to the St. Louis Rams. Jones acquired substantial experience last season after Bradford went out for the season due to his shoulder injury, and will rely on that experience to boost his team over its Big 12 rivals.

Texas, likewise, will be showcasing a new quarterback in Garrett Gilbert. Gilbert, however, did not gain the same level of experience last season as Jones did, although he played almost the entire national championship game against Alabama when star quarterback Colt McCoy went out in the first quarter.

These two teams will both be strong and in sync for the 2010 season, but when these two teams meet up in October for the Red River Shootout, Jones and the Sooners will likely outlast the Longhorns.

Boise State will be looking for the 2010 season as its chance to finally play in the much-anticipated BCS National Championship game, as the team has finished the 2007 and 2009 seasons with undefeated records and Fiesta Bowl victories, yet no invitation to play in the Big Game.

Quarterback Kellen Moore is back with a strong supporting staff ready to dominate the WAC conference and give the national championship another shot.

Nebraska will face a tough season, after the loss of defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. During offseason drama, the Cornhuskers decided to leave the Big 12 conference in favor of the Big 10, and will play their final season in the Big 12. Perhaps next season they will offer NCAA betting fans a more enticing pick.

Head coach Urban Meyer will be back on the sidelines with the Florida Gators after taking a personal leave of absence following the Gators Sugar Bowl victory last season. Florida usually offers a strong NCAA betting pick, as the team is the only Division I team to have back-to-back thirteen win seasons, in 2008 and 2009.

However, the team will be under the new leadership of quarterback John Brantley, who showed promise in a preseason game by completing 15 of 19 passes for over 200 yards with two touchdowns.

Several teams offer NCAA bettors great picks for the 2010 season leading up to the BCS National Championship betting game, and several teams, barring injuries, will be strong enough to defeat the current favorites and claim their spot in the coveted game.
