College Football Predictions – All about the Utah Utes

San Jose State is the third worst nationally in points scored this year at eleven. They just beat FCS school Southern Utah in the last minute of the game 16-11. That’s right I said FCS, and this week they play the 13th ranked FBS Utes this weekend. Can you say big troubles?

The Spartans do have two losses, but they were to Alabama and Wisconsin. These are two teams 90% of the teams out there would be 0-2 against. I’m not saying they’re great. I’m just saying they’re not horrible yet unless my College Football Predictions on this game are wrong.

Quarterback Jordan La Secia is showing promise for San Jose. He is 51 of 75 for 506 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions this season. He also engineered a couple two minute drills at the end of each half last week to win by a hair.

They were tied going into the 4th quarter last year but ended up losing 24-14. The only chance San Jose has in this one is if they have a large turnover margin which is possible. Their running backs have lost 3 of 4 fumbles this year, so the Spartans should target the ball in the backfield.

The Utes are 21st in total defense allowing 271.7 yards a game and 24th in scoring defense giving 16 points a game to their opponents. That’s not many in college folks.

Utah’s 40.3 pts scored is 19th in NCAA and most of that is mostly with their backup quarterback playing. They are expecting starter Jordan Wynn this week, but there is no need to hurry him with Terrence Cain playing lights out.
Utah was at San Jose State last season where they were happy with a 10 point win in the 4th quarter. My College Football Predictions would include this winning margin to be much higher than that this year, but it will not be over 28 points.

This brings us to common sense time. San Jose State will not lose by more than 28 points. They are getting 31 points based on the NCAA Football Betting Line.

My College Football Predictions, therefore, would say to Bet the San Jose State Spartans +31 points and enjoy your cushion even if you don’t need all of it.
