College Football Odds on Winning
October 8, 2009
The undefeated Auburn Tigers visit the 3 point underdog Arkansas Razorback this Saturday at 12 PM ET at Razorback Stadium.
College Football odds:
Auburn Tigers-3
Arkansas Razorbacks +3
The level of play in the SEC is pretty impressive this year as four teams remain undefeated after 5 weeks. Auburn has the 5 th running offense in the nation
Even though Tigers RB Ben Tate hasn’t been effective lately, he has recorded 97 carries and 570 yards so far with 2 TD, RB Onterio McCalebb seems to be another good weapon on the ground; the freshman has 416 yards and 3 TD.
“We’re for real," Tate said. "It kind of gives us confidence in ourselves too. That just shows us that our hard work is paying off."
Arkansas best option to upset Auburn Tigers is with their air attack. The Razorbacks are 6 th in the league in passing game. QB Ryan Mallet has been outstanding with 11 TD and only 2 interceptions throwing over 1148 yards.
Last week Mallet threw four touchdown passes to lead Arkansas to a 47-19 victory over Texas A&M.
Neither team turns the ball over much, which means both teams will be taking good care of the ball.
Arkansas is trying to avoid losing its first three SEC games since 2007. The Razorbacks D have given up 87 points and 955 yards in their two conference losses.
My pick: the Tigers by a field goal.
