As things are, the only thing standing between Auburn, and a trip to the SEC title game is a win over visiting rival Georgia on Saturday afternoon. Do that, and they’re headed to Atlanta for their first SEC Championship Game since 2004.

After that, they could be in line to play in the BCS National Championship game, where they currently are the third-highest favorite, with +275 odds.

For the Tigers, everyone talks about quarterback Cam Newton, and with good reason. The Heisman Trophy favorite has thrown for 19 touchdowns, and rushed for 15 more, as he’s not only the leading passer, but also the leading rusher for the No. 2 Tigers.

Newton has help across the board though, thanks to backs Michael Dyer and Onterio McCalebb, who’ve combined for over 1,400 yards and 11 touchdowns this year.

There’s no way Georgia will slow down Newton, so their only hope is to outscore the Tigers, something that seems possible thanks to an Auburn defense that allows 24.5 points per game.

As a matter of fact, when it comes to your NCAAF Week 11 Picks, we’re calling for a very minor upset. Auburn will win this game straight up, but the play here is to take the Bulldogs to cover. This offense is averaging 33 points per game, and has been even more impressive of late, scoring at least 31 points in each of their last five games.

They’ll do enough to cover the betting odds Saturday.

NCAAF Week 11 Picks: Georgia +9 ½

No. 23 South Carolina Gamecocks at No. 22 Florida Gators

Saturday, November 13 at 7:15 p.m. ESPN

NCAA Week 11 Odds:

South Carolina (6-3 SU, 4-5 ATS): +6 ½

Florida (6-3 SU, 5-4 ATS): -6 ½

While Auburn and Georgia are getting all the hype heading into the weekend, a matchup which is even more important will go down at the Swamp Saturday night. That’s where the Florida Gators will host the South Carolina Gamecocks, with the winner representing the East in the SEC Championship Game.

There’s no way to sugar-coat what happened for South Carolina last weekend, as they were embarrassed on their home field by Arkansas, 41-20. In that loss, freshman running back Marcus Lattimore was held to just 30 yards on 11 rushes, his worst output of the year. Simply put, if South Carolina is to be one of your NCAA Week 11 Picks, Lattimore will need to be much better.

The Florida Gators had no such problems Saturday however, as they went to Vanderbilt and beat up on the Commodores 55-14. It was the Gators’ best effort of the season, as quarterback Jordan Reed threw for 120 yards, and rushed for 88 more in victory. John Brantley split time with Reed under center and threw two touchdowns.

So after some early season struggles, are the Florida Gators back? Don’t be so sure.

For South Carolina, last week turned into a glorified exhibition, as they knew that the result against Arkansas meant little. They also knew that if they beat Florida this weekend, they’d still be SEC Champion. Which is exactly what will happen Saturday evening.

Expect Lattimore to have a better game than he did against Arkansas, and for the South Carolina defense to be much better as well.

When you bet on college football this week, the Gamecocks are the play here.

NCAA Week 11 Picks: South Carolina +6 ½

No. 10 Oklahoma State Cowboys at Texas Longhorns

Saturday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m. ABC

NCAAF Week 11 Odds:

Oklahoma State (8-1 SU, 7-2 ATS): -6 ½

Texas (4-5 SU, 2-7 ATS): +6 ½

The final game of the NCAAF Week 11 Picks comes from Austin, where Mack Brown’s Texas Longhorns will play an unfamiliar role Saturday, that of spoiler. Can they keep the Oklahoma State Cowboys from getting one game closer to a Big XII South title?

That’s right, for Texas, a bad season has gone spiraling out of control, as the Longhorns are no longer just struggling, but now fighting for bowl eligibility. Things finally hit rock bottom on Saturday, when they lost 39-14 at Kansas State, in a game where the Wildcats threw for a total of nine yards. Yes you read that stat correctly. Kansas State scored 39 points, while only passing for nine yards.

Oklahoma State will certainly throw the ball more this week, with Brandon Weeden at quarterback. Weeden is one of the game’s best passers; he’s thrown for 26 touchdowns this season, which is tied for best in college football, and is second in passing yardage with 2,982 yards.

So who is the play here? Surprisingly, it might be the Longhorns.

Desperation is a funny thing, and Texas certainly qualifies as desperate right now, as they’re teetering on the edge of not going to a bowl game. While they might not win Saturday, they should at least be able to keep things close, against a Cowboys defense which allows 28 points per game.

The final of your NCAAF Week 11 Picks needs to be Texas. Get your wager in now!
