Cincinnati Bengals at New York Jets
8:20 pm ET
NFL Betting Line: Jets favored at -9.
The Jets have always been a good defensive team at home in the past few years but they haven’t played up to their talent level this year on defense.
Perhaps the betting fans though that the cornerback pairing of Darrell Revis and Antonio Cromartie would cover up the average safety play in the back end.
The Thanksgiving 2010 Day football crowd should see Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson at their best for the Bengals in this one considering the big stage and the challenge of facing big-time defensive backs who are also trash-talkers in their own ways.
The Bengals will have to throw in this one to win because the Jets are so strong against the run.
But when they become too one-dimensional Carson Palmer can struggle in the pocket.
The Jets have gotten better on offense with Mark Sanchez putting up big numbers and Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards forming a devastating one-two punch at wide receiver consisting of Michigan and Ohio State alumni.
The Jets haven’t put together a complete game on both sides of the ball for a while but all signs are pointing to them doing it this weekend.
They would love to put Cincinnati away early to rest up for what should be a grueling final month or so in pursuit of the AFC betting East Title and playoff positioning.
The Jets should take care of business in this one and send the Bengals home unhappy.
