Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens – Football Betting Pick
January 2, 2011
The football betting pick of most fans going into Sunday’s game is the Baltimore Ravens, but Cincinnati has the support of others because of their upset win last Sunday over the Chargers.
The Bengals essentially knocked the Chargers out of the playoffs and now they are trying to badly damage the playoff standing of the Ravens, can they do it on the road?

NFL Betting Line: Ravens favored at -9 ½.
The football betting favorites are going to be going up against a new-look Bengals offense this weekend much like the Chargers faced last week.
The Bengals were missing top wideouts Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco last week and will likely be without both of their superstar receivers (name-wise especially).
Owens has a knee injury and Ochocinco has an ankle issue that has him as highly questionable to play on Sunday.
The experience and size in the receiving corps will be missing for the Bengals although Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell filled in nicely last week.
A big play in the game for the Bengals came on a poor alignment by the Chargers’ defense that led to a long, gift TD for Simpson, however, and an uncharacteristically poor throw by Philip Rivers led to a key interception that sealed the fate of the football betting favorite Chargers late in the game as well.
The Ravens are not prone to making those kinds of mistakes at home. The Chargers ran into a buzzsaw last week but fans have to wonder how motivated the Bengals will be the match the Ravens hit for hit in this late-season game with nothing on the line but a little bit of pride.
The Bengals have won the last three meetings between the two franchises, however, including a 15-10 decision in week two of the 2010 football betting season.
If the Bengals can at least maintain that type of pride and moxie heading into this one they can definitely keep the game within one score at the very least.
While Owens and Ochocinco seem like big losses on paper the new guys played well last week and perhaps now the pressure will be off Carson Palmer to keep the big guns (and mouths) happy in the passing game.
Cincinnati can also focus more on the run game which could be a good thing. Take the Bengals and the points.
Football betting pick: Cincinnati (+9 ½).
