Chicago at Buffalo – NFL Odds Week 9
November 6, 2010
The Bears and Bills have both played unevenly this year to say the least but the week 9 odds favor the Bears because of their superior record.
But the Bills have always been one of the toughest home teams in the NFL in relation to their talent level and Sunday’s game could continue that trend.

NFL Betting Line:
Bears favored at -3
The Bears are still struggling to pick up Mike Martz’s offensive system and it has hindered Jay Cutler at times.
Coming off of a year last year in which the football odds favorites had serious communication problems between their new QB and his receivers, things haven’t changed a whole lot.
Wrong patterns and timing throws in the Martz system thrown too early or too late have been a big problem.
Johnny Knox is having a potential breakout year for the Bears at WR but Cutler is still getting sacked an awful lot as most Martz quarterbacks do.
The Bills don’t have the defense to cause turnovers but any margin for error could mean a game-swinging turnover.
The Bills have played very well in tough games lately coming close against Kansas City on the road, a very tough place to play, and also at home against Baltimore.
Buffalo is led by Ryan Fitzpatrick who has been excellent as quarterback since being inserted into the starting lineup recently.
Fitzpatrick has been accurate and made the most of his weapons. A team like Buffalo could come out and get over the hump or they could continue to play teams close and lose; both outcomes have a lot of evidence behind them for those who study poor teams in the NFL.
But this week against a Bears team that has been lucky to this point and still has a ton of errors to correct, Buffalo is the best pick at home considering the competition they’ve played well against lately and the weakness of NFC teams in general this year.
NFL odds pick: Buffalo Bills (+3)
