The Toronto Argonauts bring one of the worst CFL Football Betting offenses and one of the better defenses into Ivor Wynn Stadium on Sunday to take on a Hamilton team that has owned them all season long.
Toronto has been up and down all season and comes into Sunday’s contest having alternated wins and losses in their last six games. Toronto will look to establish the only real offensive weapon on their team early and often Sunday.
Running Back Cory Boyd finished 2nd in the CFL this season in rushing despite missing two games because of injury. Boyd also finished 4th on his own team in receiving.
Boyd will have to be dominant on Sunday as Toronto will start one of the worst statistical quarterbacks in the CFL. Cleo Lemon guided the CFL’s worst passing offense and finished with just 15 touchdown and 19 interceptions on the season.
The other weapon that the Argos boasts is Kick Returner Chad Owens who finished the season with an incredible 3288 combined yards – nearly double the next best.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are one of the most complete teams in the CFL, void of any real stars. Hamilton’s quarterback Kevin Glenn finished 2nd in the CFL with over 5000 yards passing and 33 touchdowns.
He will be throwing to the Tiger-Cats best player, Arlan Bruce who missed the final three games of the season but still finished third in the CFL in receiving ((86 catches and 1303 yards).
CFL Football Betting Outlook:
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats dominated the Toronto Argonauts this season winning the three matchups by a combined score of 74-28. Hamilton was able to generate 15 turnovers in the three games.
Hamilton’s game plan will be simple – stack the box to eliminate Cory Boyd’s effectiveness and kick the ball away from Toronto’ only other legitimate threat, Chad Owens. Hamilton accomplished both of these feats this season and should be able to do so again on Sunday.
Along with the 3-0 record that the Tiger-Cats recorded against the Argonauts this season, they are 5-1 in their last 6 meetings with Toronto and 3-1 versus the Argos in their last four playoff meetings in Hamilton.
Simply put, Hamilton is the better all around team that appears to have Toronto’s number.
CFL Football Betting Pick: Hamilton Tiger-Cats -7
BRITISH COLUMBIA LIONS (8-10) vs. SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS (10-8)

CFL Football Betting Lines:
Spread: Saskatchewan -4 1/2

Two teams that finished the season in very different CFL Football Betting manners meet in Regina to see who plays the Calgary Stampeders in next week’s Western Conference Final.
The Lions shook a 1-7 start to finish 7-3, including three straight wins to end the season. The Saskatchewan Roughriders won their Regular Season finale after losing four straight games – including a Week 17 loss to the BC Lions.
The British Columbia Lions took a while to get going this season. They used three different quarterbacks before settling on Travis Lulay who proved to be dangerous with his arm and with his feet all season long. He finished with an unflattering nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions but finished second on his team in rushing yards.
Jamal Robertson has been an effective runner out of the Lions backfield and veteran receiver Geroy Simon has once again defied father time to be one of the more productive receivers in the CFL.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders suffered through a CFL Football Betting slump at precisely the wrong time – at the end of the season. They lost four of their last five games despite having the league`s top passer and most productive running back.
Darian Durant finished the season with 5512 yards, 25 touchdowns and a staggering 22 interceptions. Running back Wes Cates finished with the 5th best rushing total in the CFL with 1054 yards and 15 touchdowns (nearly double the total of the nest closest running back).
Taking care of the ball is crucial for the Saskatchewan offense that finished with nearly a 400 yard average this season.
CFL Football Betting Outlook:
Home field has been good to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. They were 7-1 during the regular season and are 11-2 in their last 13 at home. The Lions are 4-1 in their last five road games, are 4-2 ATS against the Roughriders and 5-2 ATS in Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan has all the pressure going into Sunday`s game – not a whole lot is expected from the Lions. BC is hot and the Riders are not. BC is playing their best football of the season at the moment and I think the momentum will be enough for them to pull the upset.
CFL Football Betting Pick: BC Lions +4 ½
