March 17, 2009

Reeling C’s to Lay Spanking On Bulls

The Boston Celtics (50-17 SU, 34-33 ATS, 31-35-1 O/U) have lost three of their last four games while going a pitiful 0-4 ATS during the span.

The Chicago Bulls (30-37 SU, 34-32-1 ATS, 37-29-1 O/U) snapped their three-game losing streak the last time they took the court and have gone a blistering 5-1 ATS during their last six games.

Both teams will be trying to pick up an SU and ATS victory for BetOnline NBA sports betting backers when they battle at the United Center tonight.

The Celtics lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 86-77 as a 6-point road favorite on Sunday while the combined score played Under the posted O/U total of 198 points.

Starting center Kendrick Perkins led the Celtics with 26 points and 12 rebounds while all-star forward Paul Pierce added 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bulls jumped all over the New Orleans Hornets, winning 97-79 on Saturday to easily cover the spread as a 2-point home underdog while the final score played Under the 193.5-point total.

Chicago Bulls +1 -110

Over 195½ -110

Under 195½ -110

Analysis: The Boston Celtics are struggling in the worst way while the Chicago Bulls picked up a very solid win over the Hornets the last time out, but I like the Celtics to get back in the win column with a big road win tonight after repeatedly turning the ball over in their surprise loss to Milwaukee the last time out.

Boston has covered the spread in seven straight against the Bulls and will make it eight in a row tonight while playing Under the set O/U total for the third time in their last four meetings.

NBA Free Picks: Celtics -1 Point/Under 195½ Total Points
