NFL Betting Odds

Miami Dolphins -1.5

Over/Under 40

Here is a look at some of the game’s key trends.

  • Bears are 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 games as a road underdog.
  • Dolphins are 7-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

Chicago Bears (6-3 SU, 4-4-1 ATS, 2-7 O/U)

Chicago has won two straight games and put on a commanding performance in their 27-13 smackdown of the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10. The Bears got three TD passes from Jay Cutler and picked off Brett Favre three times while covering the spread as a 1-point home underdog.

Chicago will look to cash in against the early NFL odds in this matchup and record consecutive ATS victories for just the second time this season.

Miami Dolphins (5-4 SU, 6-3 ATS, 4-5 O/U)

Miami has alternated wins and losses over their last six games and picked up a convincing 29-17 win over the Tennessee Titans as a 1-point home favorite as Chad Henne and Tyler Thigpen each tossed one touchdown pass in the win.

The Fins will look to cover the early NFL odds in this matchup and improve to a blistering 5-1 ATS in their last six games.

Prediction: With Chad Pennington and Chad Henne battling injuries, third string signal-caller Tyler Thigpen will start for Miami – and that could be a good thing as I’ve liked the young quarterback since we were both plying our respective trades in Kansas City just a couple of years ago.

Nevertheless, I have to say that I just don’t see the Dolphins winning this contest over a Chicago Bears team that looked fantastic last week and is looking to gain a head of steam as we move further into the second half of the 2010 regular season.

Miami has gone just 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS in four home games this season while the Bears have posted an impressive 3-1 SU and 2-1-1 ATS mark in three road games.

With Chicago averaging just 19.4 points per game (24th) and Miami putting up just 19.1 points per contest (26th) I think the Under is the best play against the Early NFL odds in this matchup.

Both of these teams also own excellent defenses with Chicago ranking second in points allowed per game (16.2) and Miami allowing just a shade over 21 points per contest, the Under look s very attractive to me in this matchup.

Chicago has played Under their Over/Under Total in three straight games and six times in its last seven games overall while Miami has played Under the O/U total in two of its last three games.

Simple and plain BetOnline pro football betting buffs, I say play the Under to play out against the early NFL odds.
