The Houston Texans (5-6 SU, 5-6 ATS, 7-4 O/U) managed to snap their four-game losing streak by beating the dysfunctional Tennessee Titans 20-0 in their Week 12 AFC South divisional showdown to cash in against the online NFL Odds as a 5-point home favorite and move to 2-0 ATS over their last two games.

Matt Schaub tossed two touchdown passes in the win while running back Arian Foster rushed 30 times for 143 yards. The Texans picked off Tennessee rookie quarterback Rusty Smith three times in the win.

Philadelphia 411

The Philadelphia Eagles (7-4 SU, 5-6 ATS, 7-4 O/U) had their three-game winning streak snapped in its 31-26 Week 12 loss to Chicago.

The Birds got two touchdown passes from Michael Vick but allowed Chicago’s Jay Cutler to throw four TD passes in the loss while failing t cash in against the online NFL Odds as a 3-point road favorite to snap a two-game ATS winning streak.

Prediction: I’m going to get right to the point for my BetOnline pro football betting brethren that love to make online NFL Odds wagers by saying that I’m not very impressed with the Houston Texans and their ability to underachieve at the most inopportune times.

Yeah, I know Houston is coming off a shutout win the last time out, but I say, even that wasn’t very impressive as they probably should have put up at least 30 points against the struggling Tennessee Titans and their rookie signal-caller last week.

Three straight losses prior to their Week 12 win tells me the Texans aren’t playing very well and still have some issues they need to address – and ones Philadelphia will likely exploit in this contest.

Still, I have to admit that I don’t see the Texans losing this contest by the nine points it would take for them to fail to cover the online NFL football lines in this one.

The Eagles are averaging 28.2 points per game this season while the Texans are putting up 24.0 points per contest for a combined 52.2 points per game average.

Both teams are also allowing at least 23.4 points per contest defensively which tells me they can almost assuredly expect a high-scoring affair that plays Over the set O/U Total.

The Over has gone 4-1-1 in Houston’s last six road games and a blistering 20-6 in their last 26 games against a team with a winning record. The Over has also gone 6-1 in Philadelphia’s last seven games overall and 10-2 in their last dozen games following an SU loss.

I like the Over to play out against the online NFL odds first and foremost, followed by a pick for the Texans to narrowly cash in against the spread.
