Miami (OH): The Week That Was

The Miami Redhawks took a beating in their opener, losing 42-0 to Kentucky. Oh boy.

You could say that they have work to do, but you could be making a very big understatement. The Redhawks gave up 488 yards of total offense to Kentucky in their opener, 245 of which were rushing yards. About the only good news was that the opener wasn’t at home – it was at a neutral site. Quarterback Daniel Raudabaugh finished the day 13-of-34. Good luck on the blue grass in Boise.

Boise State: The Week That Was

The season couldn’t have gotten off to a better start for Boise State. Well, had Florida lost to Charleston Southern, that would have made their start better but being realistic, Boise State is off on the right foot.

They took care of business against Oregon with a 19-8 win and although it wasn’t the prettiest, it was a big one. Boise State could go undefeated the rest of the way with their simple schedule.

It was a very impressive win for Boise State. Oregon was fired up and they wanted revenge badly but at no point were they in control of the game. The same will happen to Boise State’s opponent this week as well.

The Week That Is:

Miami has no shot to win this game whatsoever – the question is just can they cover? You might be inclined to say yes since it’s so many points but be cautious. Boise State actually played a fairly sloppy game offensive last week and they’ll be looking to correct those mistakes. On top of that, their defense looks like it’s in midseason form. The Redhawks might get shutout for a second consecutive week and on the blue grass, the Broncos should win their 65 th game in 67 tries and cover.

Free Pick: Boise State -37
