BetFlix With The Paytons – Orlando and L.A.’s Odds To Win NBA Championship

Want to hear some shocking NBA predictions? Gary Payton has pegged the Orlando Magic to win the NBA title. Mrs. Payton may agree with him to a point, but her heart stands by another man, and another team. It’s easy to get caught up in name dropping with the Boston Celtics or Cleveland Cavaliers, but Dwight Howard’s Magic are making a very strong case. At the very least, they have the backing of NBA betting’s favorite couple: Gary and Mrs. Payton.

The Celtics have played like veteran gunners. The Lakers are the defending champions. Phoenix has some great pieces to cause a riot inducing upset. But Gary Payton calls the Orlando Magic the best team in the NBA Playoffs.

The oddsmakers have given the Orlando Magic +175 odds to win the NBA Championship. That may seem lower than you’d expect, but don’t underestimate what making it to he Finals and losing teaches a young team. The Magic haven’t forgotten what the Lakers did to them last year.

Granted, two cake walks against Charlotte and Atlanta have led to two series sweeps, and it remains to be seen how Orlando reacts to its first playoff loss this season. Should that come against a team like Boston, which has proven an uncanny ability to expose any flaws on any team, post a loss on Orlando then we will see what type of resolve they have.

If you take it from Gary Payton, however, he thinks Orlando has every tool you need to be successful. Mrs. Payton, on the other hand, can’t break away from backing her “boo”:

It’s no secret that Monique’s true love is Kobe Bryant, and she’ll back the Lakers until they vanish from the NBA betting picture. With +150 odds to repeat as NBA champs, the Lakers are still the benchmark of NBA teams.
