Bet on NFL – Eagles vs Cowboys
December 12, 2010
You have to wonder what is going through the mind of Jerry Jones at the moment as his Dallas Cowboys have gone 3-1 since Jason Garrett took over the team, despite having backup Jon Kitna calling the shots.
Not many people would have called that, but that’s the beauty of sports, you never know what can happen when you make a Bet on NFL football.
The Eagles are hoping they can bring the Cowboys back down to reality, as they are still very much alive in the playoff picture, tied with the New York Giants for first place in the NFC East division.

Sunday night these two teams hook up and I for one believe that Philly will send a message to Jerry Jones and the rest of the league that the Cowboys are who we thought they were, when they lost their first seven of eight that is.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys (Cowboys Stadium – Dallas, TX)
Sunday, December 12th – 8:30 PM ET
TV: NBC
The biggest shock of Week 13 had to be Dallas winning a 38-35 decision in Indianapolis, that and the fact they picked off Peyton Manning four times. The Cowboys are actually very close to being 4-0 under Garrett as they gave the New Orleans Saints all they could handle on Thanksgiving, losing in the final minutes of that one.
If you’ve been taking Dallas when you Bet on NFL lately, you’ve been making yourself some extra coin as they obviously covered against Indy as they went in as road underdogs, and the narrow decision against New Orleans was also a money maker if you took the Cowboys and the points.
Bet on NFL Spread:
Philadelphia Eagles -3 ½ (-115), -200
Dallas Cowboys +3 ½ (-105), +165
Total – 50 ½
So why would I sit here and talk about how the Cowboys have been covering spreads if I’m going to turn around and take the Eagles? Well, because that’s the NFL for you. You need to know when a team is due for a letdown, and that is going to be on Saturday in my opinion.
You can’t take away from the fact that they went into Indy and beat the Colts, but if you eliminate those two uncharacteristic pick six’s that Peyton tossed, this game isn’t that close. Combine that with the fact that the Eagles defence is far better than the Colts, and you can see why I feel like the Eagles are the right Bet on NFL this Sunday.
Michael Vick is going to do his thing, and the fact he’s playing in a dome just makes this all the more likely that the Eagles walk away with a win. He’ll likely rack up 50+ rushing yards and around 300 more passing, which will be too much for Kitna and the Cowboys to keep up with. My Bet on NFL for Sunday night football is on Philadelphia to cover.
Bet on NFL: Philadelphia (-3 ½)
