The Miami Heat will be looking for their 9th straight victory and 8th straight against the spread in the NBA sportsbook when they take on the New Orleans Hornets on Monday, Dec. 13th.

While the Heat will be looking to remain on fire, the Utah Jazz will be looking to get back on track after losing to the Dallas Mavericks on Dec. 11th when taking on Golden State on Monday night. Let’s take a look at the NBA action going on Monday, Dec. 13th!

Dec. 13th – NBA Games

New Orleans Hornets at Miami Heat

Where: American Airlines Arena, Miami, Florida

When: 7:30 pm EST

NBA Odds: Miami -11

Analysis: Miami has covered the NBA betting spread in 7 straight games by playing whatever style is needed for them to win. Want to slow it down and make it a defensive struggle? Then the Heat will beat you like they did when taking apart Atlanta 89 to 77. Want to run with Miami? Then LeBron, D-Wade and Bosh will run with you like they when taking down Utah 111 to 98. New Orleans is in total disarray as the NBA has taken over ownership of the team. Not only, that but the Hornets have lost 7 out of their last 10 games both straight up and against the spread and simply isn’t the same team that started out the season winning 11 out of their first 12 games.

Milwaukee Bucks at Dallas Mavericks

Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas

When: 8:30 pm EST

NBA Odds: Dallas -8

Analysis: The NBA odds makers got this line wrong. There’s no way that Dallas shouldn’t be a double-digit favorite in this game after winning 12 straight and going 9 and 3 against the spread in those 12 games. Milwaukee, who has won 3 out of their last 4, will have no answer for the brilliant Dirk Nowitzki who is shooing an amazing 56.8% from the field while averaging 25 points. The Bucks are only 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games and doesn’t match up well at all versus a Dallas Mavericks team that’s so deep that they can bring both Jason Terry and Shawn Marion off the bench. The Mavs should cover the spread in this game.

Golden State Warriors at Utah Jazz

Where: EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, Utah

When: 9:00 pm EST

NBA Odds: Utah -11

Analysis: Utah might be the most vulnerable out of the 3 top teams playing when it comes to covering the sports betting spread on Monday night. The Jazz is 1 and 4 against the spread in their last 5 games. But Golden State has won only once in their last 12 games, face the Jazz on the road, and will most likely be without starting guard Stephen Curry. I don’t see how the Warriors keep this one close without Curry’s deft shooting touch. Utah should roll with Deron Williams scoring 30 points and dishing between 10 to 16 assists with ease in this contest even though Raja Bell is questionable and may not play.
