Bet on NBA – Dallas Battles Cleveland, Houston v. Denver, Phoenix in Action
February 7, 2011
The Dallas Mavericks, winners of their last 8 games straight up in the basketball betting, take on lowly Cleveland on Monday night as close to a 15 point home favorite.
The Houston Rockets travel to Denver to battle the Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns travel to Oakland to take on the Golden State Warriors in 2 other games on Monday, Feb. 7th. Check out a preview of each game below.

Feb. 7th– NBA Games
Cleveland Cavaliers (8-43) at Dallas Mavericks (35-15)
Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
When: 8:30 pm EST
NBA Odds: Over 206
Analysis: The Cavaliers have lost 24 straight games. It’s highly unlikely that they break that losing streak versus one of the best teams in the NBA on Monday, Feb. 7th, but the actual online sports betting spread in this game is Dallas -15 or so. Dallas is only 12-13-2 against the spread this season and the Cavaliers could keep the game to around a 10 point margin. I prefer to go over in this game. Dallas has scored over 200 points in 7 straight games and the trends truly point to it being a high-scoring affair on Monday night.
The over is 4 and 1 in Cleveland’s last 5 road games. The over is 6 and 1 in the Mavericks last 7 home games. I see both teams putting up points in this contest on Monday night with the Mavericks scoring over 110 points.
Houston Rockets (24-28) at Denver Nuggets (30-21)
Where: Pepsi Center, Denver, Colorado
When: 9:00 pm EST
NBA Odds: Over 218 ½
Analysis: The Denver Nuggets are 6 point favorites in the NBA betting sportsbook versus the Houston Rockets on Monday night. Although backing Denver isn’t a bad bet, it’s more likely that the Rockets and Nuggets play in a crazy high-scoring game on Feb. 7th. Houston averages 104.8 points per game while allowing 104.7 per. The Nuggets average 107.6 points per while allowing 104.3 per. Both of these teams love to run, shoot the 3, and put the ball in the basket. The trends say over as well as the over is 5 and 2 in the last 7 games between these two and the over has gone 7 and 2 in the last 9 Denver games overall and 7 and 2 in the Rockets’ last 9 games as an underdog.
Phoenix Suns (23-25) at Golden State Warriors (22-27)
Where: Oracle Arena, Oakland, California
When: 10:30 pm EST
NBA Odds: Phoenix +5
Analysis: I’ve got to take the underdog Suns to cover the NBA odds spread in the sports book versus Golden State on Monday night. Phoenix goes into the game off of a 107 to 111 home loss to Oklahoma State. The Warriors go into Monday night’s contest after having won 3 straight versus Utah, Milwaukee and Chicago. Both teams should play well tonight, but Phoenix, because of Nash, has an advantage in the point-guard position. I see the Suns possibly winning this game straight up on Monday night as the big dog in the sports book. They have the overall better team, in my opinion, and I just can’t see the Warriors winning more than 3 games in a row. Phoenix all the way.
