Bet on NBA – Chicago, Boston and Phoenix Look Solid Against the Spread

November 9, 2010

The Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics look very solid against the spread on Monday, Nov. 8th.

Although both Boston and Phoenix are on the road, they seem capable of keeping their respective games within the number against both Dallas and Memphis.

Let’s take a closer look at the 3 best hoops games to bet in the basketball betting sportsbook.

Nov. 8th – NBA Games

Phoenix Suns +5 vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Where: FedEx Forum, Memphis, Tennessee

When: 8:00 pm EST

Analysis: The Grizzlies almost took down the Suns last Friday in a double-overtime game where the Suns were -6 point home favorites. The Suns ended up winning 123 to 118, but they were all out to do it. Phoenix had no issues beating the very good Atlanta Hawks 118 to 114 as 5 ½ point dogs on Sunday.

Now, they face the Grizzlies on the road in a back-to-back that has a lot of NBA sportsbook wagering fans scratching their heads. They shouldn’t be scratching. Phoenix has proven in their last 2 games, the 123 output and the 118 output, that they are starting to play better and better together.

Memphis is a good team, but giving up 5 points to a Suns team that is beginning to hit their stride is a recipe for a losing wager.

Chicago Bulls -3 vs. Denver Nuggets

Where: United Center, Chicago, Illinois

When: 8:00 pm EST

Analysis: Denver has been using a small, quick line-up, because of off-season surgeries to Kenyon Martin and Chris Andersen. Now, Nene has a groin injury. Sure, a lot of NBA betting handicappers believe that the Nuggets small line-up will present the Bulls with problem, but I’m not one of them.

To me, Joakim Noah, who is averaging 14.2 rebounds per game, should dominate on the glass in this game. Chicago gets Denver at home. They’ve lost 2 in a row. Count on them to recover and win against the spread on Monday night.

Boston Celtics +3 ½ vs. Dallas Mavericks

Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas

When: 8:30 pm EST

Analysis: Simply put, the Mavericks just don’t match up very well with the Boston Celtics. The Men in Green always allow Dirk to get his, he has averaged 29 points and 10.7 boards in 3 straight home games versus the Celtics in Dallas, but Dallas has lost all three games.

Why? Because both Jason Terry and Jason Kidd shot less than 40% in 2 out of those 3 games. To me, that’s all any basketball handicapper needs to know. Okay…that and the fact that twitter god Shaquille O’Neal may be returning from an injury.
