Bet NFL Game Lines – Cleveland Can Still Get Revenge On Miami, LeBron (sort of)
December 5, 2010
If you were sacked by LeBron James on Thursday night when he throttled the Cavaliers, then bet NFL game lines instead when these two cities wage a different war. The situation for the Miami Heat has been dire, but it pails in comparison to the struggles of the Miami Dolphins who will rely on Chad Henne to get the win at home.
Those that bet NFL game lines are as accustomed to getting screwed over by Jake Delhomme as Cleveland is by the world of sports. Last week, even I didn’t expect Delhomme to play and tried to lock in a favorable number on the Browns-Panthers game mid-week. Boy did I hate myself for that one.

As much as Cleveland became a sudden, mid-season darling, we can’t ignore that they’re also just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games. On the road, they’ve gone just 3-13 SU and sometimes you can’t just bet NFL betting lines with your emotions just because you have a feeling about a certain team.
Cleveland Browns (4-7) vs. Miami Dolphins (6-5)
Sunday, December 5th — Sun Life Stadium — 1:00pm EST
NFL Game Lines: Miami -5.0 (43.0)
So what exactly is our feeling on the Miami Dolphins? They are, after all, just 1-6 SU in the last 7 games and 7-4 ATS this season. Frankly, they’ve been all over the map but in general I prefer this team when Henne starts at quarterback. With a 63.3 completion percentage, 2,447 yards and 11 touchdowns with solid leadership and a quick release he’s a capable quarterback.
He just has to avoid making mistakes. Henne’s 12 interceptions this year are alarming, especially when you consider he hasn’t played all that much this season. Still, I’m much more inclined to bet NFL sides with a more balanced team like Miami then take a chance on Cleveland’s defense blowing another play and allowing a backdoor cover.
Cleveland will get better, but not this season. Their hopes lie in Colt McCoy who could very well become the new savior of a state that has struggled to find – and retain – any form of superstar. Peyton Hillis is a monster, but his rushing production can be matched by the two pronged attack of Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown.
Besides, the cardinal rule has always been to bet against Jake Delhomme. He’ll find a way to lose the game. He always does, and sadly the city of Cleveland will endure another loss to the city of Miami so bet NFL game lines safely and take the Dolphins at home.
