Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1 SU, 4-1 ATS, 2-3 O/U)

  • Steelers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
  • Steelers are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
  • Steelers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games.

Pittsburgh ran roughshod over their AFC North division rivals, the Cleveland Browns in Week 6 to win 28-10 and cover the Bet NFL betting line as a whopping 14-point home favorite, while 38 combined points moved the game OVER for totals bettors.

Miami Dolphins (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS, 2-3 O/U)

  • Dolphins are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games as an underdog.
  • Dolphins are 5-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Dolphins are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as a home underdog.
  • Dolphins are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. AFC.

Miami beat the Green bay Packers 23-20 in overtime to cover the Bet NFL line as a 3-point road underdog, while playing Under the set O/U total for the first time in their last three games.

Analysis: If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times. While the Miami Dolphins apparently believe Chad Henne is their franchise quarterback, I just don’t see it.

The more I see of Henne, the more mediocre he seems to look (despite his strong arm), not that it really matters in this contest as I fully expect Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers to frustrate Henne and Miami’s mediocre offense en route to a solid outright road win and ATS cover against the Bet NFL betting odds.

Pittsburgh’s defense is playing out of its collective minds and could have even more focus with linebacker James Harrison being at the center of the league’s latest and most pressing problem – illegal hits. Harrison made for two questionable hits (cheap shots) against the Browns last week in which he used his helmet to apparently intentionally hurt his own NFL brethren according to his own words.

Harrison’s antics may have gotten the outspoken linebacker fined, but it could also serve as a rallying cry for the Steelers, who are already looking like arguably the best team in football right now.

I know the Dolphins are 8-1 ATS in their last nine games as an underdog and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a winning record, but Miami is also just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games as a home underdog and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against their conference rivals.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh ha gone 5-0 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record, 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games overall.

The Steelers are holding their opponents to just 12.0 points per game this season – and I don’t expect Miami to get much more than that as they suffer the SU home loss and Bet NFL ATS loss as well.

NFL Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -3 Points
