Kentucky might be a team that is 19-7 this season and is probably well on its way to the NCAA Tournament, but that doesn’t mean we look forward to bet basketball with it in this one, especially having to lay nearly a touchdown to do so. The Cats have just been far too inconsistent on the road this season, especially in the SEC. They’re just 3-6 ATS for the season, and just 1-5 ATS this year in SEC play, with the one win coming against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
The good news for the Wildcats is that they are coming off of a clinical 90-59 win over those said Gamecocks, this time in a game that was played at Rupp Arena. Darius Miller led the way with 22 points and nine boards, while Terrence Jones had another double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Doron Lamb had 18, while Brandon Knight had a complete game with 12 points, nine assists, and six boards. DeAndre Liggins had 11 points off of the bench.
However, the problem when you bet basketball with UK is that the bench just isn’t all that deep. Sure, Liggins had his 11 points over the weekend, but aside from that, in a game that was a brutal blowout, there were only nine other total minutes played and just two points scored.
Needless to say, if Arkansas thinks that it has any chance to dance this year, this is a game that it has to win. The Hogs probably have to win out just to think about getting back on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament, and they’re probably going to have to do some damage in the SEC Tournament as well to get over the hump.
When you’re talking about Arkansas and you want to bet basketball with it, you have to hope that Rotnei Clark has a big time game. Clark went off for 21 against the Alabama Crimson Tide this past weekend in defeat, raising his scoring average up to 13.8 points per game.
Unfortunately for Kentucky, its road woes are going to continue on Wednesday night. Don’t be shocked if the Razorbacks come away with a huge 17th win of the season. Bet basketball with the Hogs on Hump Day and look for them to move to 13-4 ATS the L/17 times they were dogged at home.
SLAM THE RAZORBACKS!
