Best Bet to Reach American League Pennant

Despite struggling last season due to many injuries and ending the season in the third slot in the American League West, the Angels can be expected to accomplish much more this 2011 season.

The Angels have put together a strong bullpen, led by Jered Weaver, Ervin Santana, Joel Pineiro and Scott Kazmir.  This formidable group should dominate the AL West division and propel the Angels into the postseason. 

Of course, this is all dependent upon Los Angeles staying healthy, which they were unable to do last season.  That’s what makes it a gamble.

However, looking at the odds listed in the MLB Sportsbook, picking the Angels has the biggest pay-out.  The Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers all also have legitimate odds to reach the pennant, but none pay off like the Angels at +400.
