Before You Bet College Football Look at the New Terrelle Pryor
September 11, 2009
It’s time for sophomore Buckeye QB Terrelle Pryor to step up and take his team to the next level. USC will be his first real challenge this season.
There is no a quarterback in the college football that can match his ability to create a big play out of a nothing. Since the loss in the Fiesta Bowl against Texas it’s obvious that Pryor has made huge progress as a passer. Pryor must put up big numbers in the air, but his assest remains on his mobility. He can keep plays going and find receivers breaking open despite pressure from incoming defenders.
Looking at the last week game against Navy, Pryor appears much more comfortable working as a pocket passer than in previous seasons. He completed 10 of 12 passes from inside the pocket compared to just 5 of 9 passes from outside the pocket.
Pryor had "Vick" written below his eye in support of NFL quarterback Michael Vick, who had just been released from 18 months in prison. "Not everybody’s the perfect person in the world, I mean everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever. I think that people need a second chance, and I’ve always looked up to Mike Vick, and I always will."
