BCS Selection Sunday Figures To Be As Entertaining As Usual

December 13, 2008

Let’s be honest BetOnline NCAA college football sports betting enthusiasts, while Sunday’s BCS selection show may have featured a bunch of really nice graphics and some statistics that showed just how inept the flawed computer-based system really is, NCAA college football bettors didn’t get many surprises in the way of teams getting the short end of the stick.

Generally, the matchups most fans and bettors thought would take place before the Selection Sunday show took place, will actually happen on the field, (although, if I’m Texas, I still feel like I got screwed really bad).

Oklahoma vs. Florida was the right call for the BCS National Championship Game, despite the fact that Texas beat Oklahoma earlier this season.

All State Sugar Bowl

Alabama vs. Utah won’t be much of a matchup if you ask me despite the fact that the Tide were handled easily in their loss to Florida. BetOnline NCAA college football bettors may have a ‘lock’ on their hands in this matchup.

Orange Bowl

I love the Orange Bowl matchup featuring Virginia Tech versus Cincinnati and believe that bettors that go with either ballclub will have a solid chance at covering in a contest that could turn out to be the best Bowl game of them all.

Fiesta Bowl

The Ohio State Buckeyes get to play a Texas team that will be furious at not getting the opportunity to play for the national championship. The selection committee got the job done here as well.

Rose Bowl

The Penn State Nittany Lions, (my beloved alma mater) had an absolutely fine season this year, but may not be much of a matchup for the USC Trojans who are playing their best football of the season. The BCS selection committee served up fans and bettors a nice dish with this pairing, along with my favorite Bowl pairing, the Cotton Bowl contest between high-scoring Texas Tech and Mississippi.

BetOnline NCAA college football bettors will have a plethora of Bowl game picks to choose from in the BetOnline Sportsbook.
