BCS Game Betting – Five Reasons Why Auburn Will Win
July 20, 2011

BCS game betting experts know that the SEC will once again be represented in the BCS National Championship game this season, with the top-ranked Auburn Tigers clashing against the No. 2 Oregon Ducks in the title game.
The conference has won the past four championship games. Here are five reasons why that streak will continue.
BCS Game Betting Reason #1: Cameron Newton
The Heisman trophy winner only got better as the season wore on, and excelled even more in the face of adversity. Newton registered a combined total of just under 4,000 yards, scoring a total of 48 times. The junior quarterback was easily the best player in college football this season, and will cap off a season full of hardware with the biggest title of them all, delivering Auburn a national championship trophy.
BCS Game Betting Reason #2: The Ducks Will Not Be Able To Muscle With Auburn
While Oregon had no problem in the much smaller, faster PAC-10, they will struggle with Auburn’s size on both sides of the ball. The Ducks will need to swarm to get past a bigger, stronger Tigers’ offensive line and to Newton, and that won’t happen with a massive offensive line opening holes. Oregon will struggle to keep quarterback Darron Thomas on his feet and open holes for Heisman trophy runner up and running back LaMichael James.
BCS Game Betting Reason #3: Auburn Has Built On Adversity, Controversy
The Tigers were absolutely beaten up by the national media this season, which tore a chunk out of the program after transgressions to do with Newton and his father. According to allegations made by Mississippi State recruiting officlas, Newton’s father Cecil told those representatives that his son would play for the program which offered the most money, something that Newton knew about and reportedly apologized to the recruiters for. The NCAA ruled in favor of the star signal-caller, saying that he did not know about his family’s transgressions. However, rather than the controversy distracting the Tigers, it seemed to only make the program stronger, and now Auburn has turned that adversity in to confidence.
BCS Game Betting Reason #4: The Tigers Will Rough Up The Oregon Offense
While the Ducks have blown away at least a few defenses this season, it will be difficult for them to keep their stamina going after the big hits the Auburn defense delivers. The Tigers are much bigger than Oregon on both sides of the ball, but the offense is where the major question mark is as Thomas and James have not faced a true beating like the one that the Ducks could potentially give them.
BCS Game Betting Reason #5: The SEC Reigns Supreme
The SEC has dominated the college football betting scene over the past few years, clinching four straight national titles. That conference will continue its run with Auburn finishing off a huge season undefeated, winning the national championship after already completing a tough schedule that has featured the defending national titleholders in a comeback win over the Alabama Crimson Tide. The PAC-10 is back on the map after big seasons from Oregon and Stanford, but the SEC reigns supreme.
