Battle of California – Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers
March 19, 2009
The Golden State Warriors (24-3 SU, 30-33-3 ATS, 36-30 O/U) beat the Los Angeles Clippers 127-120 in a high-scoring affair on Tuesday night, covering the spread as 4-point home favorites while the 247 combined points checked in well over the 225-point O/U total in the BetOnline Sportsbook.
Sweet-shooting guard Monta Ellis scored a team-high 29 points while veteran swingman Corey Maggette added 21 points off the bench.
The Los Angeles Lakers (53-14 SU, 34-33 ATS, 37-29beat -1 O/U) lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 94-93 on Tuesday on a last-second three-pointer from swingman Andre Iguoadala.
L.A. failed to cover the spread as 9.5-point home favorites while the 187 combined points played well Under the 206.5-point O/U total.
Veteran forward Pau Gasol scored a team-high 25 points but superstar shooting guard Kobe Bryant scored just 11 points on 5 of 15 shooting from the field.

NBA Odds
Golden State Warriors +13 -110
Los Angeles Lakers -13 -110
Over 231 -110
Under 231 -110
Analysis: While the Lakers have covered the spread in three of four – and the Over has played in each of those contests – I am going against both of those trends tonight s the Lakers aren’t playing their best basketball right now.
I like L.A. to win, but Golden State to cover, along with the Under.
NBA Free Picks: Warriors +13 Points/Under 231 Total Points
