Basketball Betting – Orlando Magic at Atlanta Hawks
May 8, 2010
The unbeaten Orlando Magic travel to Atlanta with the idea of stealing a road game and then ending easily and quickly all the Hawks hopes in the playoffs this Saturday at 5 pm ET in Game Three of the series.
NBA Betting Odds:
Orlando Magic -2
Atlanta Hawks +2
O/U 195
So far there hasn’t been much competition between these two teams despite that the Hawks showed some improvement in Game Two, compared to the no-show performance in Game One.
The true problem for Atlanta has been how to guard Dwight Howard; the center has been unstoppable so far as he averaged 25 points and 14.5 boards in the first two games.
Al Horford needs to step up on the defensive side of the court but it is clear that he has been outplayed in weigh, power, and ability by Howard.
Also Atlanta knows they need to play 48 minute games. In the last matc,h the Magic outplayed them 28-15 despite that the game was even at the end of the third quarter.
As we mentioned in a previous article Jameer Nelson has owned Mike Bibby, as the veteran can’t seem to figure out the way of stopping the Orlando point guard, who is averaging 19.5 points in this series.
NBA betting fans should keep in mind that Orlando is 14-5 ATS after a division game and 5-1 in all playoff games this season. Also they are 4-0 ATS in all playoff games and 77-47 ATS versus good offensive teams that score 99+ points per game in the last three seasons.
Atlanta, on the other hand, is 6-12 ATS vs. division opponents and 4-5 ATS in all playoff games, not to mention 0-2 ATS in the second round of the playoffs.
Consider that 9 of 14 games in this series have gone UNDER THE TOTAL over the last 3 seasons.
