Basketball Betting Odds – Lakers at Suns Game 4
May 26, 2010
The Los Angeles Lakers look to avoid losing two in a row when they take on the Phoenix Suns tonight at 9 PM ET at the US Airways Center in Game Four of a series with low defensive success.
NBA Betting Odds:
Los Angeles Lakers -1.5
Phoenix Suns+1.5
O/U 221
All three games in the series have been high scoring, with totals of 235, 236 and 227 in each game. With these numbers, NBA betting fans should know the OVER will be the safest and smartest bet, especially considering that the hype is so high that neither of these two teams can defend against the other.
Despite that Steve Nash has a nose injury, he is ready to play tonight, but will that affect his performance? I don’t think so; this is a genuine tough guy, believe me.
The Suns need more help from their bench; Charlie Frye has been awful so far as he shot 0-7, 0-5 for 3s, and is 1 for 20 in the series, missing 17 in a row. However, if he gets hot in Game Four, he will be a game changer. The problem is that he doesn’t seem to be able to find the hole.
Keep in mind that despite the fact that Kobe Bryant scored 36 points and had 11 assists last game, he was 2-8 from behind the three point line; if he would have been more consistent in knocking three’s, we will probably be talking about a sweep in the Western Conference finals.
To be honest, I don’t expect Kobe to play as bad as he did in Game Three shooting from distance.
Keep in mind that the Lakers are 12-2 ATS after 3 or more consecutive overs and 24-8 ATS in the past three years.
Phoenix, on the other hand, is 11-2 ATS on Tuesday nights and 32-14 ATS after allowing 105 points or more.
Simmons’ pick: Bet the Lakers and the Over.
