If rebounding is the name of your game, than be sure to tune into NBA TV Tuesday for some exciting NBA Betting action. Once there, you’ll see two of the top four rebounders in the NBA do battle, Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin.
Starting with the Clippers, Griffin has been nothing short of a revelation in first season in the NBA. The rookie out of Oklahoma was recently named to the All-Star team, and honestly, why wouldn’t he be? Griffin is averaging 22.9 points and 12.8 rebounds, with his rebound total ranking him fourth in the NBA.
Meanwhile, he’ll be opposed Tuesday by one of the few players who can match him bucket for bucket, and board for board, Dwight Howard. “Superman,” is having a super season himself, with 22 points and 13 rebounds per game. However, it’s been his recent play that has sparked MVP discussions, as he’s had at least 20 points and 14 rebounds in six of his last eight games.
Ultimately what this NBA Betting matchup will come down to though is one simple fact: The Clippers just aren’t that good away from home. Los Angeles is just 3-17 on the road, and only 9-10-1 ATS. It won’t be enough to overcome one of the best teams in the East, in the Magic.
Take Orlando here.
NBA Betting Pick: Orlando -9 ½
Indiana Pacers (21-27 SU, 23-23-2 ATS) at Miami Heat (37-14 SU, 26-24-1 ATS)
Tuesday, February 8: 7:30 p.m., Live from American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL
Betting Odds:
Indiana: +10
Miami: -10
Total: 198
Next up, we head down the Florida coast to Miami, where LeBron James and the Heat are again healthy and rolling, having won six in a row and have gone 5-1 against the spread in that stretch as well.
And really, it does all start with James. Despite switching teams in the offseason, he is once again in the midst of the MVP discussion, averaging 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists a game. He is coming off the best offensive performance of any player this season, when he scored 51 against Orlando last Thursday night.
However, for all the talk about James, it’ll be Miami’s defense which carries them to an NBA Betting victory here.
Miami enters this game in the Top 5 of every major defensive category, and are actually No. 1 in opponents field goal percentage defense (42.5 percent) and opponents 3-point percentage (32.7 percent). Going against an Indiana team that’s just 28th in the NBA in field goal percentage, we have a tough time seeing the Pacers score enough to keep up.
Chalk up another win for the Heat in Tuesday’s NBA Betting.
NBA Betting Pick: Miami -10
