Baseball Betting Odds – Cleveland Indians at Los Angeles Angels
April 13, 2011
The Cleveland Indians are a drastically different team than last season. Off to a 8-3 start, the Indians are hardly recognizable. After leading the American League in walks for two seasons, now the Cleveland rotation is throwing strikes. Now the defense is stepping up after committing over 207 errors in the past two seasons.
Off to their best start in nine years, the Indians dropped last night’s game to the Angels 2-0, as Los Angeles pitcher Dan Haren allowed on one hit and two walks.
With the series split a game apiece, the Angels look to notch another win in the baseball betting odds at home tonight on the arm of Ervin Santana.
Cleveland Indians (8-3) at Los Angeles Angels (6-5)

Baseball Betting Odds:
Cleveland +1.5 -130
Los Angeles -1.5 +150
Game Total: 8 runs
Although Santana is one of the leading pitchers in the Angels rotation, he has never defeated Cleveland. In nine career starts against the Indians, Santana is 0-6 with an ERA of 5.14.
The Angels offense as of late is not much to speak of either, averaging only 2.6 runs during their last six straight games at home.
The Indians, on the other hand, have started the season with solid pitching, as Cleveland sends Carlos Carrasco to the mound tonight. Carrasco struck out six and allowed four hits in over six innings in his last outing.
MLB Pitching Matchup:
CLE C. Carrasco (1-1, ERA 5.68) vs. LAA E. Santana (0-1, ERA 3.68)
If the Indians get the win tonight, this will be their second consecutive winning series in nine seasons. The MLB odds look to be stacked in the Indians favor for a win tonight. Behind the bat of Asdrubal Cabrera, the American League Co-Player of the Week, who has been hitting consistently and the success of the Indians rotation, it looks like Santana may take his seventh loss at the hands of Cleveland.
The best bet in the baseball betting odds is on the Indians +1.5 and the points!
