It looks to be as good a spot as any to snag the home dogged and rested Bobcats after their dramatic last second come from behind win in Atlanta paired with the Lakers loss in Orlando, but I’m not buying it.

Though LA tripped up vs. Dwight Howard and the Magic in yesterday afternoon’s NBA betting battle, the Lakers still brought it defensively by giving up a total of just 89 overall points. The loss was Kobe Bryant and companies first on their current seven game road swing, and I firmly expect them to get back in the win column tonight against the Bobcats.

Let’s face it, Charlotte is hardly the same outfit that reached the playoffs for the first time in franchise history a season ago. They’re a sub .500 squad in their own house (13-14 SU), and have gone just 11-14-2 ATS as a host.

Los Angeles is a rock solid 9-1 SU & 6-3-1 ATS when playing on no rest, while the Bobcats stand an atrocious 1-9-2 against the closing NBA betting odds the L/12 times it opposed a +.500 road team.

Charlotte’s dominated the recent series between these clubs from a pointspread perspective, but LA is simply too hot right now to fade and I firmly expect the defending champs to close out the first half on a roll here and in Cleveland.

Laying these short NBA betting lines with the visiting Trail Blazers is going to look awfully enticing to many NBA bettors out there, but don’t fall for the proverbial trap! Portland has scraped by in each of its first two games of this trip, and I expect it to all catch up to the Blazers in this spot.

Minnesota has lost each of the first three meetings against its Northwest Division rivals this season, including in tonight’s venue where it dropped a 108-98 decision as 2.5-point underdogs back in early January. Portland has only managed to win 12 of its 19 road games to date and sports a losing 12-14-3 ATS tally during that haul.

The Timberwolves have the size down low to contain LaMarcus Aldridge who has been playing out of his mind of late. Look for Minny and Kevin Love to step up and protect its house in this NBA betting spot so as to avoid getting swept by their division rivals.
