#21 North Carolina Tar Heels (17-6) at Clemson Tigers (17-7)
Where: Littlejohn Coliseum, Clemson, South Carolina
When: 1:00 pm EST
Fair Basketball Odds: Clemson +3 ½
Analysis: The Tar Heels had rival Duke on their heels on Feb. 9th. As 10 ½ point road dogs in the online NCAA lines betting book, North Carolina got outscored by 20 points, 50 to 30, in the second half against Duke.
The Tar Heels ended up losing 73 to 79. Now, they travel to Clemson looking to take home a “W”. Clemson has won 4 out of their last 5 games straight up. They’re a terrific 4 and 2 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Tigers did lose by 10 points to North Carolina, 65 to 75, on January 18th this year, but Clemson figures to be ultra-tough on their own court on Saturday.
#22 Texas A&M Aggies (18-5) at Texas Tech Red Raiders (11-13)
Where: United Spirit Arena, Lubbock, Texas
When: 1:30 pm EST
Fair Basketball Odds: Texas Tech +3 ½
Analysis: Yes, I do believe that Texas Tech is a horrible team, but I’m not sold on Texas A&M being all that good. The Aggies shoot only 44.3% from the field per game. They score only 70.6 points per game. More importantly, A&M is a horrible 2 and 5 versus the basketball odds lines in the sportsbook in their last 7 games and have lost 4 out of their last 5 games straight up.
Texas Tech has lost their last 2 games straight up, to Kansas and Texas, but before that had won 3 games in a row versus Nebraska, Iowa State and Oklahoma State. The Red Raiders have a good shot of upsetting Texas A&M straight up in this game. So, consider a moneyline wager on those guys.
Oklahoma Sooners (12-11) at #20 Missouri Tigers (18-6)
Where: Mizzou Arena, Columbia, Missouri
When: 1:30 pm EST
Fair Basketball Odds: Missouri -10 ½
Analysis: Oklahoma just isn’t of the same quality as a team like Missouri. The Tigers are only 1 and 3 straight up on the NCAA odds moneyline in their last 4 games, but are a sterling 6 and 3 against the spread at home this season.
Missouri figures to be no more than a 10 ½ point home favorite on Saturday because of the troubles they’ve been having covering spreads. Although the Sooners are 6 and 2 ATS in their last 8 games, I have to believe that Missouri takes out their recent frustrations on Oklahoma on Feb. 12th and punishes the Sooners without mercy.
