2011 Final Four Predictions – Cash in Against the Over/Under Total in VCU-Butler Matchup

If you like to take all the guesswork out of picking ATS winners and love wagering against the Over/Under Total more often than not, then you’re going to love my 2011 Final Four Predictions O/U selection on Saturday’s Final Four matchup between the VCU Rams and Butler Bulldogs.

That’s right NCAA basketball betting fanatics, I’m going to get right to the point with my rock-solid Over/Under pick on Saturday’s intriguing matchup between the two biggest upstarts in all of college basketball.

The Rams and Bulldogs will battle live from Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX on Saturday at 6:09 PM ET.

Analysis: The VCU Rams (28-11 SU, 18-20 ATS, 18-18 O/U) have played Under their NCAA basketball O/U Total in three of their last five games and six times in their L/10 games overall, including the last time out in beating Kansas 71-61 against the 145.5-point BetOnline basketball sportsbook O/U Total.

The Rams have held three of their five tourney opponents to 61 points or less, while also allowing Florida State and Purdue to finish in the 70s, though they have played Over the Total in two of their L/3 games overall.

The Butler Bulldogs (27-9 SU, 19-13-2 ATS, 19-14-1 O/U) have played Under their NCAA basketball O/U Total three times in its L/5 games, but the Bulldogs have also played Over the Total in two of its last trio of games, including in its 74-71 overtime win against Florida in its Elite Eight matchup a week ago.

The Bulldogs allowed Pittsburgh to score 70 points and Florida State to put up 71 points but also held Wisconsin and Old Dominion to 58 points or less.

VCU averages 71.8 points per game while allowing 66.7 points per contest defensively. Butler scores 72.1 points per contest while allowing 64.5 points per game defensively.

Butler and VC combine to average 143.9 points per game offensively while allowing just 131.2 combined points per contest defensively.
